From Egypt to China: Rosatom Career Day to bring international graduates from 15 countries together at TPU

Tomsk Polytechnic University will once again become a venue for the "Rosatom International Career Day for International Students of Mainstay Universities." The event will bring together students from all over the world who study at the mainstay universities of the state corporation in Russia, as well as those who have already completed their studies.

Career Day will be held online on Thursday, February 26. Start: 11:00 a.m. Moscow time.
"It is valuable for us that the state corporation chooses Tomsk Polytechnic University again to arrange and hold this important event. Career Day gathers nuclear engineering professionals from different countries. These are Vietnam, Indonesia, Egypt, China, Ghana and many others. And all of them are united by a high-quality education received at the best universities in Russia. Tomsk Polytechnic University is proud of its international nuclear engineering graduates and tracks their success. And these are already citizens of 22 countries around the world. I'm not afraid to say that they are the elite of the nuclear industry in their home countries. TPU gradutes are employees of national atomic energy commissions and large companies. They teach at major universities and develop advanced technologies, including nuclear medicine," said Leonid Sukhikh, Acting Rector of TPU.

The international platform will bring together students and graduates from 15 countries around the world. Among them are Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Egypt, Ghana and others. In the format of regional sessions, they will be able to meet with representatives of Rosatom companies, national academies of sciences and national atomic energy commissions, nuclear infrastructure companies, learn about the needs for national personnel for nuclear energy facilities and nuclear infrastructure companies, and ask experts questions.

A separate part of the Career Day program will be presentations by graduates who will share their success stories.

TPU is the mainstay University of the Rosatom State Corporation. With the support of Rosatom, the University has created a full cycle of educational programs in the field of nuclear energy and nuclear medicine for international students from partner countries of Rosatom.

Among the Russian operating reactors, foreign citizens can study only in Tomsk, at the TPU reactor.

About 160 people from 22 countries have graduated from international educational programs. Among those countries are Indonesia, Egypt, Ghana, India, China, Brazil, Bolivia, Vietnam, Sudan, Malaysia, Uganda, South Africa, Sri Lanka.
