Meeting of Rosatom administration with the members of Impact Team 2050 Board took place

Members of the first string of Impact Team 2050 Board (the international youth consulting board) presented their successors at the meeting with Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom.

The second string of the Board was formed on the competitive basis. 13 representatives of 13 countries - Bangladesh, Brazil, Hungary, Egypt, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, China, Rwanda, Serbia, Tanzania, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia and South Africa - were selected out of 207 applications of the semi-final round candidates fr om 58 countries. Young researchers, specialists with practical experience of work in the nuclear industry, heads of youth organizations became the members of the Board. Nadira Salsabila, Manager of ASEAN Youth Organization for Sustainable Development (Indonesia); Miloš Lazarević, Junior Research Assistant of Belgrade University (Serbia); Safa Abdo, Vice-President of Women in Nuclear Global for Research and Development (Egypt), and many others are among them.

At the first meeting with the Russian nuclear industry administration the young leaders discussed the action plan for the future. Within the nearest months the members of the second Impact Team 2050 Board will arrange national youth dialogs devoted to the question why young talents sel ect alternative career paths despite of the "green" and high-tech image of nuclear power engineering. Results of these dialogs will be presented within the framework of COP-31 International Climate Conference in Antalya wh ere the second meeting of the Board with Alexey Likhachev will take place. The new staff of the Board will also develop the youth program of Nuclear Day on the sidelines of COP-31 and visit the construction site of Akkuyu NPP.
"The new staff of Impact Team 2050 are facing a really serious task to establish the agenda of the international youth dialog around peaceful atom. Each of 13 participants has already proved in the native country that he or she is capable of uniting like-minded persons, implementing any initiatives significant for the industry and achieving specific results. Now it is important to direct this experience and energy to the joint projects in the area of science, education and international cooperation. We expect bold ideas fr om you and are ready to support them with all our expert community", Alexey Likhachev said.

Impact Team 2050 Board was established in 2021 as the youth consulting body at Director General of Rosatom uniting young leaders from the partner countries of Rosatom in order to develop recommendations for enhancement of visibility and attractiveness of nuclear technologies among the foreign youth audience. Eight young people from eight countries (Brazil, China, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Thailand, Argentina and India) were the members of Impact Team 2050 within the first string in 2022-2026. The first string of the Board at Director General was formed in 2022.
