On 17-18 October 2024, the National Polytechnic University of Armenia hosted a large-scale mathematical modelling tournament "HakAtom: REPEAT your modelling skills", organised by Rosatom and Jet Lab LLC (a company of Rosatom's Electric Power Division).
The participants solved the task of modelling the modes of the Armenian power system (using the digital product REPEAT developed by Jet Lab LLC). Seven teams from the leading technical universities of the republic participated in HakAtom. The first place went to the Reactive Minds team, the second to SmartTech (both from the National Polytechnic University of Armenia) and the third to Theorem of Luck team (from high school of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia).
Evgeny Salkov, General Director of JSC Rosatom Service, commented: "By implementing educational and outreach initiatives, such as the hackathon, and developing partnerships with educational institutions, we are stimulating young talents' interest in the field of mathematical modelling and creating a solid foundation for the future generation of young IT specialists. In the future, they will be able to both promote the image of a young professional with broad digital skills and make a tangible contribution to the prosperity of their country.
