Eurasia Global 2024 International Youth Forum was attended by RNE Ambassadors

The Eurasia Global 2024 International Youth Forum was held in Orenburg from 24 to 29 September. Russian Nuclear Education Ambassadors Grace Mbofwana (Zambia), Adonis Assaad (Brazil), Armaan Khan (India) and Karel Tyr (Czech Republic) took part in the organisation of the Forum's thematic zones.

The Forum brought together some 500 people from 115 countries. During the six days, the ambassadors acted as moderators for events of various formats, including plenary sessions, networking, practical sessions, case studies and many others.

"I would like to highlight the work of the Russian Nuclear Education Ambassadors, who acted as co-moderators in several thematic zones of the Forum. In previous years of the Forum, we faced a difficulty when foreign participants did not always understand what was going on. Most of the speakers were Russian and communication sometimes broke down. But this year we have a very large number of formats that involve close interaction between participants - in these formats simultaneous interpretation does not help at all. Building communication with the foreign audience fell to the ambassadors - our co-moderators. They helped with networking and actively participated in all the plenary sessions. And we thank them for that," said Maria Galitskaya, Programme Director of Eurasia Global Forum 2024.

It was not the first time that foreign students from Rosatom's partner universities, participants of the Russian Nuclear Education Ambassadors project, took part in the Eurasia Global Forum. This year they had a special role to play - they helped engage participants in various activities, facilitated the exchange of ideas between residents of International Friendship Clubs and helped draw up roadmaps for the clubs. All so that after the Forum, everyone could bring into action in their region what they had planned.

One of the aims of the event was to launch the work of International Friendship Clubs in the regions of the Russian Federation and to develop international youth cooperation. The ambassadors were able to share their own experiences of building a community of international students united by a common idea and goal. During the session on language learning and building community, the students, together with Yana Morozova, Division Manager for International Cooperation, talked about the experience of studying in Russia, the difficulties foreign students can face due to language barriers and the tools to overcome them.

The Eurasia Global 2024 International Youth Forum was organised by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), the Government of the Orenburg Region and the ANO 'Directorate of the World Youth Festival'.

Eurasia Global is a platform for constructive communication between young people from different countries and discussion of the vision of the future based on traditions and the principle of sovereign equality of states.

The theme of the forum in 2024 is the development of youth cooperation between the regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries.
